Nonprofit of the Week #2

This week's nonprofit organization is Friends of the Pine Ridge Reservation. This organization actually helps several different groups in improving the lives of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. Just some brief info I found about this reservation....

• made up of two of the poorest counties in the United States
• infant mortality rate is 5 times that of other parts of the nation
• average age of death for men is 47
